sometimes, she forgets that the story of her arrival is not a widely known one, & she forgets that the fact that she’s older than clark is not common knowledge either. the people of gotham are particularly familiar with the meteor that crashed in the bay, but with all the weird shit that happens there, it was just another day. the people of metropolis knew when there was finally a girl to join the supers, but none of them knew where she came from other than she came from krypton. they didn’t know when, they didn’t know how, they didn’t know whether or not she had grown up with superman. the only people who really know anything are a few of her fellow heroes, and the amazons – none of whom are very easy to contact & interview. so her life on krypton… it’s not exactly a common conversation topic. it makes sense, that clark and lois would tell jon about her “origin story,” because she doesn’t think she ever did.
❛ i sure am; i was his favourite babysitter, not that your grandparents ever asked anyone else. i couldn’t even tell you the number of times he ruined my shirts with his spit up, and don’t you ever let him forget that i told you that. ❜ sometimes, she thinks that it helps to remind herself that clark isn’t the all - powerful being that the media makes him out to be. he’s just a normal guy who happens to have ridiculous powers – but so do they.

when it comes to krypton, jon knows that there is so much he couldn’t even attempt to know. such a vast planet filled with secret knowledge and unattainable mysteries ; all wiped away in one fell swoop. it was as if their homeworld didn’t exist at all. the only thing left of it’s glory remained on earth ; those who carried it’s DNA and those they would birth soon after. it wasn’t as if clark had the time to teach him everything either ; being superman has it’s priorities. there was only so much lois could teach him as well. he was a patient boy, but he just wanted to know. he wanted - - no, needed to understand so he could wear his new mantle with pride. it was why he knew about his older cousin’s story. it was why he learned about zod. it was why he was taken to the fortress. soon enough, it would be on him to be the son of krypton. better know it now before it was too late.
he could only attempt to laugh as kara told him about his father’s past. he was sure that he was the same with he was a baby, but he would never admit it ; giggling as he scooted closer to the older female. ❛ blegh, that’s gross ! was it super spit too? i mean, but imagine it it was! ❜ oh, how kids could be entertained by even the smallest thing. he’d almost completely forgotten about his earlier dilemma. it was why he liked hanging out with kara. she was a cousin, but she felt like an older sister. someone he knew would be there for him whenever he needed. he was still growing and when clark couldn’t be around, he knew she would be.
❛ wait, lamps? does that mean i could use some too? i feel like i should be doing more than i am… ❜ there goes that pout again. ❛ i can’t even stay afloat for more than ten seconds without falling again. what happens if i’m training with damian and i fall and… well… s p l a t? ❜ things he didn’t want to think about as his body shivered at the thought of it. this was why he needed to learn ; to train. he couldn’t be the weak link. he refused to be.
this is a blog for jonathan samuel kent aka superboy from dc comics. he is a character, those from the pre-52 continuity, is centered in the rebirth series. though there will be different verses and aus written for him, his main verse & continuity shall be based in the current comic timeline.

this blog is highly selective & mutually exclusive. please do not follow & unfollow as i have no issue with utilizing the block button. this blog shall be geared toward character development first and foremost.
III. CHARACTERIZATION.
as somewhat stated above, this blog shall be geared on developing the what if’s about my character. though he’s been out for quite some time, there is still so little known about him as he’s a young character. it is important to see the about/stat page to understand just who my character is. everything, as far as characterization and development, is my own headcanon and idea, unless stated. please do not replicate.
IV. EXCLUSIVES & MAINS.
when the time comes, exclusives may pop up on this blog. if so, i shall not follow or interact any other version of said character. the same can be said for mains, however i shall still interact with others. those mains just come first & always shall. this all is not done to spite anyone. i understand that people have different interpretations and understandings of a character & that is perfectly ok. but my interpretation might not fit with someone elses and vice versa. as such, those who i'm exclusive with or mains with are those who shall have extensive plots and characterization ideas with.
V. SHIPPING & SMUT.
shipping is far from important to me as a writer ; however, i am not against it. it’s merely just not a priority. if it happens, it happens. do not approach merely with the idea of shipping as you shall be ignored &/or blocked. same goes for smut. this blog is a no-smut zone, especially since jon is an underaged character. though i am of age, it is not my cup of tea. all threads that go that route shall become a fade to black. end of story.

THEY CALLED IT THE CONVERGENCE. a war of infinite worlds. a death match across the multiverse. only one universe was to survive. heroes across the lands; fighting until death greeted them as a friend. one duo refused to give in to the rules of the land. a man by the name of clark kent, known to the world as superman, and a woman named lois lane. a testiment to true love; they would give birth amongst the chaos, for in the end, they were all that mattered to each other. he would be named after their fathers; half kryptonian & half human. he would be called jonathan samuel kent.
BUT IT WOULD ONLY BE THE BEGINNING. for the son of superman is bound to be more than what meets the eye. landing on a new earth, the family kept a low profile; unfamiliar with the universe they now called their home. calling themselves the whites, they would live in the outskirts of metropolis in a small town named hamilton county. jonathan would grow up like a normal boy, loving superheroes and never knowing the truth about his family. it was for his own good & the worlds. but, we all know secrets are meant to be broken.
IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG. in an attempt to protect his beloved cat from a predator, eyes would turn ruby quartz and his fate would be sealed. it seemed as if his kryptonian side wasn't as subdued as his father would believe. with nothing else to do, all that could be done was embrace the inevitable. he was the last son of krypton. he had a destiny bigger than he knew. he would be more than just the son of superman. he would become SUPERBOY. he would become what he was meant to be. and you know what, that was just fine.
SANGUINE. optimism incarnate. most sanguine types are cheery, outgoing, and socialites. they tend to be warm-hearted with the ability to befriend anyone with ease. there is a deep love for adventure and challenges; a care-free aura floats around them. unfortunately, they have a low tolerance for boredom and will do what they can to rectify this. creativity seeps from their bones; curiosity is their anti-drug. they will be your friend until the end of time.
